3 of 4 Americans killed in Syria bomb attack identified

The Pentagon has identified three of the four Americans killed in a deadly blast in Syria.

According to reports, the two service members and a Defense Department employee were identified as 37-year old Army Chief Warrant Officer Jonathan Farmer, 35-year-old Navy Chief Shannon Kent and former Navy SEAL and support specialist Scott Wirtz.

A fourth American, who was reportedly a contractor working with the Department of Defense, was not identified by the Pentagon as he was not in the military.

Officials confirmed at least 14 people were killed in Wednesday’s blast, which was attributed to an ISIS suicide bomber.
