Marines charged in alleged human smuggling

More than a dozen of Marines in California are formally charged for allegedly smuggling illegals and committing drug-related offenses.
More than a dozen Camp Pendleton-based Marines arrested during a Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) investigation into allegations of human smuggling have been charged, the U.S. Marine
Friday, the Marine Corps officially announced charges against 13 Camp Pendleton-based Marines who were arrested in July during an NCIS investigation into the human-smuggling operations.
The Marines will now face military proceedings on a range of charges under military law.
According to officials, none of the Marines served in support of the military mission along the southern border.
