President Trump says “not much headway” was made toward ending the partial shutdown, following Saturday’s meeting between top republicans and aides of Senators Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi.

The President made the statement in a tweet on Saturday after he was briefed by the Vice President and his team on their meeting.

He added, a second meeting is set for Sunday, referring to his trip to Camp David, where he’ll huddle with top White House staff on the subject of border security and other issues.

Administration officials are seeking to secure funding for the wall to end the more-than two-week shutdown.
